Government improving quality of technical education.   The government of India is taking initiatives to improve the quality of technical education in the India. It has introduced NVEQF (National Vocational Education Qualification Framework) to develop a productive and skilled human resource that can suffice the global quality standards and efficiency by incorporating vocational training and education along with main stream academics.   AICTE has also come up with a number of schemes such as QIP & TEQUIP.

Indian Institute of Technology- Delhi is the country's highest ranking institution in world with a global rank of 218; the Rajya Sabha was informed today.
